Piazza Baricalla is a unique open space on the hills of the Alta Langa area, due to its vast dimensions and its isolated location. An enclosure surrounded by mixed buildings, born with the castle demolition. A square that contains different squares: the town hall and sports court area, the parish square, the parsonage corner, the shady zone under the horse chestnut and the Turkish oak.
The new installation defines the spatial and functional areas of the square with its alignments towards the town hall, the parish and the parsonage, crosses the trails network to form a meeting point, a place for children plays and discoveries for Igliano inhabitants and visitors. A light linear system composed of a corner platform/playground and a series of portals.
